Terms of Service

1. The service

The Idiodynamic Research Platform ("the Service") is operated by [legal name / entity, address] ("we", "us"). The Service lets researchers configure idiodynamic method experiments, invite participants, collect session data, and export results.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password secure. Accounts are personal to the registering researcher; a department licence may cover multiple accounts by separate agreement.

3. Credits and payment

• One credit is consumed each time a participant completes a session. Invitations that expire, are revoked, or are abandoned consume no credit.
• Credits are obtained through licence codes or (when available) online purchase. Credits are not refundable and do not expire, but have no monetary value outside the Service.
• If a session completes while your balance is zero, the data is preserved and becomes accessible when you add credits.

4. Your data and your responsibilities

• You retain all rights to your study designs, uploaded media, and collected data. We claim no ownership.
• You are the data controller for your study data; we act as processor (see the Privacy Policy).
• You are responsible for obtaining ethics approval and lawful consent for your studies, for having the rights to any media you upload, and for using participant email addresses only with an appropriate legal basis.
• You must not upload unlawful content or use the Service to collect data beyond what participants have consented to.

5. Service levels

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is", without warranty. We take nightly backups and retain them for 14 days. Export your data regularly; our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months.

6. Termination

You may close your account at any time; we will delete your data on request. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable and a reasonable opportunity to export data.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email to account holders at least 14 days in advance.
